TYPES OF RENEW FUELS

If you can use unleaded gasoline, you can fill up at a Renew Fuel Station. All our fuels are blends of gasoline and ethanol, a renewable fuel made from a variety of local products including corn, cheese whey, wood pulp, grasses, and other bio-mass. Ethanol is a high-octane fuel that reduces toxic emissions and cleans fuel lines. Since 1980, every major vehicle manufacturer endorses the use of ethanol in their vehicles for this reason. Fuel blends available at Renew include:

  • Unleaded Plus – an 89 octane grade fuel containing 90% gasoline and 10% ethanol. Unleaded Plus is common at many stations and is acceptable for use in all gasoline-powered vehicles.
  • E85 – a special fuel blend containing no less than 70% ethanol formulated for use in Flexible Fuel vehicles. To see if your vehicle is a Flexible Fuel vehicle, click here.
  • E20 – a 91 octane grade fuel containing 20% ethanol and 80% gasoline. E20 is a higher fuel economy, lower cost fuel option for Flexible Fuel vehicles. It is not recommended at this time for use in other vehicles due to the lack of long term testing.
COMING SOON! - We are currently testing blends for bio-diesel, a renewable diesel replacement made from plant oils. We hope to have our first pumps for bio-diesel in the near future.
